Many such unassuming eateries in North Carolina have truly stood the test of time. I was waiting right in front of the Hostess, so I saw this first handed. I felt that the Hostess could have made some sort of an accommodation since it was my 80th Birthday and to add insult, people kept coming in the restaurant in 2s and 4s and got seated way before I did. never having to wait more than 20-30 minutes. I have eaten there several times since moving from NY to NC. I will not be going back on a Saturday in the near future if I do return it would have to be during the week. Drink orders were taken, and appetizers were brought out in a reasonable time. Waitress was hard working and very nice person. Well after waiting 5 minutes short of 2 hours we finally got seated at 8.00 PM in a tent because everyone was hungry, and Like I said no atmosphere in these bland white tents. I tried to get a reservation in their other restaurant, but they were backed up as well. I preferred to dine inside since it was a little cool outside rather than in the tents which are heated but have no atmosphere. Went there with a party of 8, arrived at 6,05 PM and was told there would be a 30-to-45-minute wait. I explained to the hostess upon arriving that it was my 80th birthday and I wanted to be seated ASAP. I went there for my 80th Birthday celebration, first of all they do not take reservations which I understand they are too busy and don't want the responsibility to commit to having a table when you want it.
